Training
We offer training in the following professions:
Geriatric nurse:
New generalist training
In 2020 we will begin our new generalist training program, and we offer traineeships in our practical training to become a geriatric nurse.
Prerequisite:
• secondary school certificate (Realschulabschluss) or
• formal training as a geriatric nurse assistant or
• lower secondary school leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) in addition to completed vocational training
• German: level B2
Duration and type of training:
3 years of vocational school with practical work experiences in stationary nursing care facilities, pediatric care, hospitals, and outpatient care
Learning Content:
• plan and control indivdual care needs of people of all ages
• care and support people of all ages
• assist the residents in organizing their lifestyles
• participate in festivities and facility events
• communication (e.g., consultation meetings, shift change meetings…)
• carry out doctors’ instructions independently
• reflection of own acting
Regular in-house training and guidance from our educational mentor and practical guide in the residential groups.
Elderly care assistant:
Prerequisites:
secondary school certificate (recommended: completion of a voluntary social year)
German: level B2
Duration and type of training:
1 year of vocational school with practical work experiences in stationary nursing care facilities

Further qualification:
If you complete the training with a grade of 2.5 or better, you can continue your training to become a geriatric nurse.
Regular in-house training and guidance from our educational mentor and practical guide in the residential groups.
Housekeeper:
Prerequisites:
secondary school certificate
German: level B2
Duration and type of training:
3 years of in-company training and vocational school
Learning content:
• activity-oriented work
• domestic utility and care services
• work organization
• preparation of food and food storage
• house cleaning
• textile care
• residential environment organization
• preparation for events/festivities
